Picture a Prem scout who has watched 10,000 matches. Ask him "will City win tonight?" and he doesn't run a formula — he just knows from experience. Machine learning is how we give that same intuition to a computer.

Instead of writing rules like if shots_on_target > 8: predict_win(), the computer learns the rules itself from examples.
